Frank Avila is already making an impact as he enters his first year on the Giants baseball team.

Avila, who dons the number 40, was a part of the Giants spectacular comeback win on Friday and a successful 2 win double-header on Saturday.

Avila, 18, is a pitcher and also plays the infield. He comes to the Giants by way of Central High in Fresno. Avila reason for choosing COS over other schools closer to Fresno was based on the talent that coach Allen consistently develops.

“I think he can get me to the next level,” said Avila.

He was also quick to tell me the strength of this years team was its camaraderie and its vocal support of teammates during the game.

Avila is Criminology major and has hopes of attending a division 1 school in California after COS.
