A plan to outsource the COS bookstore was released by superintendent and President of COS, Bill Scroggins. The plan was derived due to the budget cuts that are going to affect COS. COS will be teaming up with Barnes and Noble Inc.
"The COS bookstore will be keeping all of its staff. Basically all that is going to change is that Barnes and Noble will be taking expenses from the bookstore and reimbursing for the payments." Dorianna Mendietta, manager of the COS bookstore said.
"As far as books go, nothing will change just because Barnes and Noble product is being carried. All books that faculty request will be carried. The only possible change is that the bookstore may carry more supplies and clothing merchandise." Mendietta said.
The corporate offices of Barnes and Noble were unable to be reached after several attempts to contact them.
