Twenty-one year Rafael Anguiano, a third year COS student, was once a student who was very quiet, and who never expected to gain the status he has today as ASB president.
With an upbeat attitude, Anguiano knows that he can fulfill his role as president, as well as with the help of his colleagues.
“I’m positive I have the best board this year, we are very young and fresh with ideas and it makes me excited for the upcoming year,” said Anguiano.
A 2006 graduate from Dinuba High School, his leadership role started out when we was elected FFA treasurer, which let him break out of his shell.
Today, as ASB president, he takes in every form of opinion and direction from his peers on the ASB board.
“He’s a kind-hearted and trustworthy person, knows his boundaries but always keeps everyone in check,” said Adriana Avila, the Commissioner of Publicity and Arts.
Debbie Douglas, Student Life & Leadership Coordinator, chimes in and agrees.
“He’s not a dictator, he’s always involved, he’s very familiar with ASB and has truly changed one hundred percent from day one to the blossomed bright student he is today.”
