Visalia stadium 10, located on 120 South Bridge Street, is holding its Independent Film Series from February through April. Now all you film geeks can enjoy movies that should’ve been showing months ago. Each movie is featured at 2:15pm and 7:00pm Wednesdays and Thursdays.

March 10-11 Broken Embraces
Third collaboration between actress Penolope Cruz and director Pedro Almodovar, their previous collaboration was 2006’s Volver. Pretend to be cultured while you watch this movie!

March 17-18 The Road
John Hillcoat’s second directorial effort after the brilliant The Proposition. An ambitious adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s novel of the same name starring Viggo Mortensen. Enjoy the utter bleakness, as it was meant to be, on the big screen!

March 24-25 The Maid
A Golden Globe nominated Foreign Film. If Spanish dramedies are your thing, by all means watch it. Lead actress Catalina Saavedra has received numerous acclaim for her performance.

March 31- April1 A Single Man
Yes yes yes! This stylish film from first time director Tom Ford needs to seen by everyone yesterday. Colin Firth’s Oscar-nominated performance is worth the price of admission alone.

April 7-8 The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus
The mere fact that Terry Gilliam has made another movie should make you want to watch this film. Featuring Heath Ledger’s last performance with supporting performances from Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, Jude Law and Tom Waits!

April 14-15 The Young Victoria
A Martin Scorsese produced Victorian drama? Ticket sold! Emily Blunt stars, which should be enough, along side acting sensation Jim Broadbent.
