Stan Carrizosa was appointed president/superintendent of College of the Sequoias at a Board of Trustees meeting held Friday. The board voted unanimously to approve Carrizosa’s contract.

Brent Calvin, current interim president/superintendent of the college, will resume his original position as dean of business/social sciences.

Carrizosa, former Visalia Unified School District superintendent, was chosen out of a pool of five candidates, one of whom left during the process to accept a position at Hartnell College.
